We are living in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and its impact is undeniable. In the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, we are witnessing a revolution that is reshaping the way we create, consume, and interact with information. We were already using Siri, Alexa and similar such things but with breakthroughs like Copilot, Gemini, DALL-E, MidJourney, and Chat GPT, AI is not just a tool but a creative partner, enhancing our capabilities in unimaginable ways.

One of the most exciting aspects of this journey is the promise of continual improvement. AI is on a trajectory to get better, faster, and more intuitive. I am a first-hand witness to how it is already transforming how we write emails, craft CVs, summarize books, generate content, brainstorm blog ideas, and even create WhatsApp messages. The possibilities seem endless, with gen AI becoming an indispensable assistant in our daily lives.

A particularly fascinating development is the advancement in image generation. Images produced by AI (especially DALL-E and Midjourney) are becoming increasingly realistic and detailed, blurring the lines between what is real and what is artificially created. This opens up new avenues for creativity and expression, with applications ranging from art to design to marketing.

The next frontier in AI seems to be text-to-video generation, with projects like SORA leading the way. Imagine being able to convert text into immersive videos, bringing ideas and stories to life in a whole new dimension. While this technology holds immense potential, it is still in its early stages and requires significant refinement.

However, it's crucial to remember that AI is still in its early stages. Despite its incredible potential, AI is not without its challenges. One of the key issues is the need for thorough revision and editing. AI-generated content, while impressive, often contains errors and inaccuracies. The information and outputs generated by these models cannot be taken at face value. For example, I encountered factual errors when I asked for the last number in pi, it provided me some number - I replied it was wrong to which AI responded "You are correct, I made a mistake, pi being an irrational number doesn't have a last digit". Similarly, there have been instances of misquoting and inaccuracies in religious texts, such as the Quran. Gemini and Chat GPT both provided me meaning from the Quran which was not correct. Additionally, controversies have arisen regarding AI's ability to generate images of humans, highlighting the ethical dilemmas surrounding AI.

Amid these challenges, it is essential to remember the Quranic verse that encourages the acceptance of new ideas and innovations to which, we should reflect and ponder upon Allah's creation:

"And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth - all from Him. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought"
Quran 45:13

This verse reminds us of the importance of embracing progress and using it for the betterment of society.

Overall, I believe that generative AI tools have the potential to revolutionize the way we work and live, enabling us to be more productive, creative, and efficient in our endeavors. By embracing and harnessing the power of AI, I am confident that we can achieve greater success and fulfillment in both our professional and personal lives. As we look to the future, I am hopeful and excited about the possibilities that generative AI holds. The way we consume knowledge and interact with AI is constantly evolving, and I am eager to see how this technology will continue to shape our world in the years to come.
